Privacy
Last updated October 4, 2026
The short version: We don't ask for your name, email, health information or Medicare number. We don't use cookies, ads or trackers. We don't sell or share anything about you.
What stays in your browser
When you use the lookup, the ZIP code, county and plan you pick are not sent to us. Here is where they are kept:
- In the web address, after the # sign. Your browser never sends the part after the # to a website. It is there so you can save or share your answer. It does stay in your browser history. Anyone you send the link to will see the ZIP code and plan in it.
- The "I get Extra Help" switch. If you turn it on, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. This is called "local storage." It never leaves your device.
How to clear it: Turn the Extra Help switch off, or use your browser's setting to clear history and site data for this site. To remove a lookup from your history, delete that page from your browser history.
What our hosting provider records
Like almost every website, our site runs on computers owned by a hosting company. We call it "our hosting provider." Its computers automatically keep short technical records, called logs, of each visit. Logs can include:
- your IP address (a number that identifies your internet connection),
- the pages and data files your browser asked for, such as the data file for a county,
- your browser type, and
- the date and time.
These logs can show which county's data file was loaded. They do not show which plan you picked or whether you get Extra Help. We use logs only to keep the site running and safe from attacks. We don't combine them with anything else, and we don't try to find out who anyone is. We don't copy or export the logs, and we keep them only as long as our hosting provider keeps them by default.
No cookies, no ads, no tracking
- We don't set cookies.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't load scripts, fonts or images from other companies. Our fonts are stored on our own site.
- We don't sell, rent or share information about you with anyone, including insurers and agents.
Visitor counts (analytics)
We don't use any analytics today. If we ever add a tool to count visits, it will not record what plan you look up or anything after the # in the web address. We will update this page before we turn it on, and the page will name the tool and say what it collects.
If you email us
If you email us to report a problem, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to look into the problem and reply to you. We don't add you to any list. We delete these emails within 12 months.
Please don't send your Medicare number, Social Security number, or details about your health.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We don't track you across other websites or over time. So we treat every visit the same, whether or not your browser sends one of these signals.
Links to other websites
We link to sites such as Medicare.gov, Social Security and State Health Insurance Assistance Programs. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We don't control what they collect.
Children
This site is for people with Medicare and their families. It is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
Because we don't keep anything tied to you, there is nothing for us to look up, change or delete, except an email you sent us. To have your email deleted sooner, just ask.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For any important change, we will also post a dated note on the site's list of changes.
